About the Officers' Club

How does one thank those handful of honorable, dedicated and foresighted military officers who provided the genesis for the Officers’ Club of Connecticut in 1947 - starting with a simple lunch counter, a lounge and a small bar?

From that humble beginning over 54 years ago, the Officers’ Club has grown in space and diversity to an organization with a membership approaching 500 men and women drawn from all walks of life - both military and civilian, who come together in an atmosphere that boasts outstanding cuisine in a beautifully decorated dining room, a snug and cozy lounge, a well-stocked bar, friendly and highly trained staff, and a club manager who tends to your smallest needs to ensure you and your party receive the ultimate in service.

For over five decades the Officers’ Club has enjoyed a gracious relationship with its landlord, the Connecticut National Guard - who has been stalwart in their support of the Club, both in leadership and technical assistance.

It is not unusual to hear the Officers’ Club described as “The best kept secret in Hartford.”  Well, we hope we won ’t be a secret to you any longer.

And so we invite you to be part of us; and we hope next time you ’re passing the club, come on in and say hello.  Our entrance is the door located to the right of the Armory ’s main entrance.

Months of Operation
The Officers’ Club is open year round except for closing in the summer for a short period, depending on business, staff vacations and scheduled maintenance or renovations.

Hours of Operation
The Dining Room is open for lunch on Monday through Friday 11:30am - 2:00pm.  The bar and lounge open at 4:00pm daily.
